about

ABOUT THIS TRACK:

This one was a sonic reimagining at the request of my father.

To my knowledge, my muse is still completely unaware that I wrote this one for him back in 2007…

(I’m not here to make it awkward though.)

Shoutout to my Dad for the encouragement that resurrected this idea from the songwriter vault. On a production front; I’ve no shame in saying that I’m actually pretty proud of the completely dry vocals. I realize that only studio musicians are likely to understand where I’m coming from, when I say that you hit a heavy level of artistic vulnerability with the exploration of such recording techniques, but falling in love with the raw sound of my own voice has been one of my biggest challenges as an artist. I feel like I’ve reached a personal milestone with this one, and I hope you’ll listen with that taken into consideration.

Special dedication to all the musicians who write love songs but never find the appropriate timing or courage to send them.
I see you.

UNSPOKEN HEART FRAGMENTS

It’s 2 AM and you’re still awake
Bathing in the light from a dead channel
On the TV
So won’t you tell me
If you stare into the static long enough
Does it give you all
The answers that you seek?

What if I told you
There’s more to this than you can see?
Are you sick of pretending it was just a dream

Do you ever think of me?

It’s 2 AM and you’re still awake
Bathing in the light from a dead channel
On the TV
So won’t you tell me
If you stare into the static long enough
Does it give you all
The answers that you seek?

What if I told you
There’s more to this than you can see?
Are you sick of pretending it was just a dream

Do you ever think of me?

What if I told you
There’s more to this than you can see?
Are you sick of pretending it was just a dream
